From Sunday 18 October, Virgin Atlantic flies non-stop from London Heathrow to Phuket. It's the only direct service from Heathrow to the island, and it runs through the winter season.
The schedule
- Departs London on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
- Returns from Phuket on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays.
- Flown on a Boeing 787-9 with Upper Class, Premium and Economy cabins.
Where to stay after a long flight
Phuket airport sits at the north end of the west coast. Nai Yang is five minutes away, which makes it the easiest first night after a long-haul flight. Bang Tao and Laguna are around 25 minutes by car, and Kamala about 40.
